What is the difference between diode laser hair removal and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal?

Diode laser hair removal uses a highly targeted beam of light that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair to destroy the hair follicle more precisely and permanently.
IPL (intense pulsed light) uses less concentrated and more diffuse light, which generally makes it less powerful and less effective in the long term, especially on light or fine hair.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser hair removal is considered permanent hair reduction, but it does not guarantee 100% hair removal.

After a full cycle of sessions (usually 6 to 8), the majority of hairs no longer grow back. A few annual touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the results, particularly due to hormonal changes.

How should I prepare before a session?

To ensure the session is effective and safe, here are some recommendations to follow:

• Shave the area to be treated 24 to 48 hours before the session (no waxing or tweezing!).

• Avoid the sun and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks beforehand.

• Do not apply cream, makeup or deodorant to the area to be treated on the day of the session.

• Inform the practitioner of any medical treatment or change in health.

What precautions should be taken before a facial treatment?

• Avoid sunburn or tanning at least 48 to 72 hours before treatment.

• Stop using products containing retinol, acids (AHA/BHA), benzoyl peroxide, etc., 3 to 5 days before
